About the event
Few issues are as vexed today as antisemitism and free speech, from college campuses and congressional hearings to social media platforms. In his new book, Professor Loeffler explores the hidden historical roots of our current turmoil. Tracing how antisemitism has served as a frontline in American battles over liberalism from 1940s anti-Jewish riots to the Charlottesville rally, he examines pivotal moments such as postwar Chicago and the 1970s Skokie neo-Nazi march.
